At Harbour Minds, we believe that human connection is at the heart of healing. Our team is made up of passionate, qualified, and trainee practitioners working together to make mental health support more accessible across our coastal communities.
We’re proud to be a Community Interest Company — which means we operate not for profit, but for purpose. Every member of our team shares in that mission.

Gail co-founded Harbour Minds to create a counselling space that is inclusive, affordable, and rooted in ethical, compassionate practice. During her training and placement experience, she saw first-hand how difficult it was for student counsellors to find meaningful placement opportunities — and how the cost of therapy remained a barrier for many seeking support.
These experiences sparked the vision behind Harbour Minds: to bring together low-cost, person-centred counselling and trainee support in a way that benefits both the community and the next generation of therapists. Gail is passionate about making counselling more accessible and believes in a model that values growth, integrity, and shared healing.

Craig is a person-centred counsellor. At the heart of his work is a trust in each client’s capacity to be—and become—themselves. He believes people carry within them the inner resources to recognise what matters, to gain insight into themselves and their relationships, to make sense of their experiences, and to find their own way forward.
Craig brings experience working with young people aged 16–19, supporting them with such issues as social anxiety, relational difficulties, depression, grief, and identity confusion. He is also the counselling lead and a therapist for a cancer charity, where he oversees the day-to-day operation of a busy counselling service, and provides counselling to individuals affected by cancer (patients, carers, and those who are bereft).
