Empowering You to Achieve Happiness

Individual Counselling

Inner Space Health & Healing is a private practice, offering calm, confidential 1:1 support for people who need space to pause, reflect, and regain a sense of steadiness.

Alongside my work with Harbour Minds, I offer individual sessions focused on personal wellbeing, life transitions, and emotional support. This work is separate from Harbour Minds community activities and centres on one-to-one support.

Sessions are available in Beccles (Space at the Quay), with limited availability to ensure the work remains contained and ethical.

Who is this support for?

Is This Right for You?

Inner Space may be a good fit if you are:

  • Feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or emotionally drained
  • Navigating midlife changes affecting mood, energy, confidence, or identity
  • Experiencing stress, anxiety, or low mood alongside physical changes or fatigue
  • Wanting support to reflect on health, wellbeing, and lifestyle in a realistic, compassionate way
  • Feeling disconnected from your body, routines, or sense of balance
  • Looking for space to talk things through without judgement or pressure

Sessions can include gentle exploration of how factors such as nutrition, movement, rest, and daily rhythms are impacting your wellbeing — always guided by what feels appropriate and achievable for you.

While my work often supports women in midlife, this service is open to anyone who feels this approach meets their needs. You don’t need a diagnosis. You don’t need a plan before you arrive. We start with where you are.

My approach

Sessions are calm and conversational and person-centred, offering space to slow things down and explore what’s really going on for you. I work by listening carefully, reflecting honestly, and supporting you to reconnect with your own understanding and strengths.

Depending on what you bring, sessions may include:

  • talking therapy
  • reflective and coaching-style conversations
  • exploring patterns, transitions, and life changes
  • building steadier ways of coping and responding

There is no pressure to move at a particular pace. We work with what feels manageable and useful for you.

Ways to work together

Ways to work together:

Individual counselling — £50 per session

50-minute one-to-one counselling sessions.

Sessions can be used for shorter-term or more focused work, or continued for as long as they remain useful. We can discuss together whether weekly, fortnightly or another arrangement is most appropriate.

Ongoing weekly counselling — £195 per month

For people who would like a consistent therapeutic space and feel they may benefit from working together over a longer period.

You will have a regular 50-minute weekly appointment reserved for you, with the cost spread evenly across the year through a monthly payment.

We initially agree to work together in this way for around three months, followed by a review of how the counselling is feeling and whether continuing is right for you. Longer-term work is reviewed regularly and can continue for as long as it remains useful.

Full details about planned breaks, holidays, cancellations and ending the arrangement are discussed before beginning.

Reduced-fee counselling — limited availability

I keep a small number of individual counselling spaces available at £40 per session for people who would otherwise find the cost of regular counselling difficult.

Please ask about current availability.

Relationship Counselling for Couples

Relationships can become difficult for many reasons. Communication can break down, familiar arguments can repeat themselves, or you may simply feel that you've become disconnected or out of step with one another.

Couples counselling offers a space to slow those patterns down, understand what is happening between you and allow both partners to be heard.

I have a particular interest in the impact that midlife and menopause can have on relationships, including changes in identity, intimacy, emotional connection and communication.

My role isn't to decide who is right or wrong or to take sides. I work with both of you and with the relationship between you.

Initial couples assessment — £90 / 90 minutes

Our first session gives us additional time to understand what has brought you to counselling, hear from both partners and consider together whether this way of working is appropriate for you.

Ongoing couples counselling — £70 / 60 minutes

If we decide to continue, subsequent sessions are 60 minutes.

Couples counselling may not be appropriate where there are concerns around safety, very high levels of conflict, an ongoing affair or circumstances requiring more specialist support. We can discuss this as part of the initial assessment.
